Where To Sue: Where defendant resides, does business or where injury occurred. Contracts Where breach occurred or obligation incurred.
Service: Registered or certified mail, sheriff, peace officer, disinterested adult.
Hearing Date: Set by court.
Attorneys: Allowed. Required for corporations.
Transfer: If defendant requests and court approves, to regular civil procedure of Superior Court, if he or she has a counterclaim over $3500.
Appeals: Not allowed.
Special Provisions: No equitable relief. No libel or slander. Litigants may submit matter to County Commissioner for binding decision.
